Assalamu Alaikum and warm greetings to all. I am Amir, an Islamic scholar hailing from the vibrant land of Burma, with a fervent desire to deepen my understanding of Islam beyond the realms of a layman. My journey into the world of Islamic scholarship began at Jamia Alia in Burma’s Arakan region, where I dedicated three years to becoming a Hafiz, followed by six years completing the Alim Course.

Inspiration to Pursue Islamic Studies:

Rooted in my family background and circumstances, I harbored an innate aspiration to be more knowledgeable about Islam. This drive led me to embark on a path that would not only enrich my own understanding but also allow me to contribute to the broader Muslim community.

Areas of Expertise:

My specialization in Islamic studies encompasses a broad spectrum, ranging from general studies to various historical periods, theological aspects, and Islamic jurisprudence. This diversity allows me to provide a well-rounded perspective on the rich tapestry of Islamic knowledge.

Teaching and Sharing Knowledge:

For three years, I engaged in the noble task of imparting knowledge to children, laying the foundation for a future generation of informed Muslims. The themes and messages I emphasize in my teachings are rooted in the general principles of Islam, fostering a holistic understanding of the faith.

Community Involvement:

Currently serving as an Imam at RCC Springvale in Melbourne, Australia, I actively participate in community gatherings, events, and initiatives. Despite facing challenges such as government restrictions in Burma on Muslims, transportation hurdles, and the absence of regulated madrasas, I remain committed to fostering a strong Islamic community.

Written Works:

While I have not authored any books or publications to date, my focus lies in actively participating in community projects, events, and initiatives that contribute to the collective well-being of the ummah.

Challenges and Achievements:

Overcoming challenges such as government restrictions on Muslims in Burma, transportation obstacles, and the lack of regulated madrasas, my proudest achievements include attaining the status of Hafiz and Alim, and being a dedicated member of the community who sacrifices time for the ummah.

Philosophy and Approach:

My approach to Islamic scholarship is grounded in the guiding principles of balancing tradition with contemporary perspectives. This ensures relevance and applicability to the challenges and questions faced by the Muslim community today.

Personal Connection to Islam:

On a personal level, my faith influences my daily life by instilling honesty and purity in my interactions. Specific Islamic teachings that resonate with me include the reverence for the four Imams.

Future Goals:

Looking forward, my aspirations as an Islamic scholar involve serving the community and fulfilling the needs of the next generation. This includes initiating regular Islamic gatherings and Hifz classes to nurture a deeper connection with our faith.

Message to Others:

To those interested in Islamic studies, I share a simple yet profound piece of advice: “Hold the rope of Allah strongly and distribute His wisdom and guidance with sincerity and devotion.” May our collective journey in the pursuit of Islamic knowledge bring us closer to the path of righteousness and unity.
